The Order of Christian Initiation for Children (OCIC) is a religious education process designed for children aged 7-18. It allows them to receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, which grant them entrance into the Catholic Church. It is also intended for children who were baptized as infants and are now seeking the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
Anyone older than 18 will participate in the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). Children younger than seven may receive the Sacraments of Baptism without undergoing a formal preparation process.
