Thank you so much. Your generous donations to the work of your St. Vincent de Paul Conference at the end of April have already made a difference this month. We have been able to pay for four emergency hotel stays and rents this month, including two families, one with two children living in a motel for the last two nights before getting into a LifeMoves apartment, and a woman recovering from cancer.
Thank you generous St. Thomas Aquinas parishioners for your donations at the end of July through our parish St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conference for people in need in Palo Alto. In addition to buying food for our daily food bags, and food gift cards, we were able to pay emergency rents for 3 families in Palo Alto Housing. We were sometimes able to help with car registrations. Some people are still living in cars. We are grateful to be able help some people in real need. Thank you again.
Should you, or someone you know, be planning to stay in a hotel or motel, kindly consider bringing back unused small bottles of shampoo, lotion and soap for those without. Place in the receptacle in your church vestibule along with needed non-perishable foods. Remember we need these items year around. Thank you for your generosity.
