Your parish stands ready to help you in fulfilling this pledge. Over the summer, both Susan Olsen (Director of Catechetical Ministry) and Chris Mardesich (Director of Youth Ministry) have been hard at work preparing for this new year of learning and living our Catholic faith.

Our parish plumbing contractor Degree HVAC is replacing and rerouting a water pipe for the school which has broken in the past several times. The last break/leak was april 2016 and it was about $6,000 to repair. Originally installed in the 1950s when the school and church were built, the water pipe runs under the porch of the hall. It is being relocated to under the eaves to make it more accessible for repairs. And it is being replaced since it’s so old.

I want to take this time to encourage all parents and guardians to also make plans for your children’s ongoing faith formation, as our own programs commence in just a few weeks. As parents, you made a promise to your child on the day of his or her baptism: “to accept the responsibility of training them in the practice of the faith...to bring them up to keep God’s commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and our neighbor.”
