Very early on the morning of August 19, I have the privilege of leading 33 pilgrims to the land of St. Patrick for an exciting journey to the Emerald Island.
We arrive in Dublin on August 20 and travel to Waterford, Killarney, Ring of Kerry, and Knock, the Lourdes of Ireland. We will return on September 1. I will keep all of you in my prayers as we visit the shrines and churches of this wonderful land.
As your children begin their return to school, I wish to remind all of you of the opportunity and responsibility that you have to do something of the greatest importance for the future of the Church– attending to the tasks of caring for your child’s continuing religious faith formation. It was at their baptism that you promised to make one of your primary concerns your commitment to raise your children in the practice of the Catholic faith.
