Dear STAY Families,
We hope that you have all had a GREAT start to the new year! Though the weather has been wet and rainy all month (praise God!), we have a lot to look forward to as we look into the next half of the semester! There are LOTS of events happening over the next few months, including an overnight middle school retreat, Confirmation weekend Retreat, offsite fun and multiple Summer Camp Experiences!
In this newsletter you'll find the EDGE and Life Teen Calendars through June 2017, as well as information for upcoming events. In a future newsletter, expect to see Sign-up links for volunteer opportunities, registration for the Confirmation Retreat and Confirmation Conference, and registration for our summer trips (Limited spots for our summer events! Talk to Chris to inquire or reserve now).

The EDGE resumes NEXT WEEKEND at a special time, OFFSITE!
Due to bad weather forecasted for this afternoon Edge will resume with Ice Skating on January 29th from 3pm-5pm. Meet us at The Winterlodge, located across from the Pastoral Center Office at Ā 3009 Middlefield Road. Download Permission Slip Here and bring $16 for Admission and Skate Rentals. See you then!

Are you in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade and want to experience a super fun retreat? Multiple parishes have put their resources together to bring you a first-ever middle school overnight Retreat! The dates are 9am January 28th through noon on January 29th at Cityteam Camp Maymac in Felton. The weather is forecasted to be clear and sunny, a beautiful time to go on retreat. Transformation happens here. Powerful Catholic sessions and prayer experiences, combined with ropes courses, kayaking, and nighttime activities will leave you with a Christ-filled experience that you will never forget.
Do you own a Bible that's collecting dust because you aren't sure how to use it? Join us after school and we'll show you how to listen to God speaking to you through Scripture! Yes, the Bible is more than just "relevant," it's the Living Word.

An exciting new tradition in our Diocese: The JOY Con is an all-day conference for nearly 1,000 youth preparing for Confirmation. Includes an inspiring keynote, a worship band, and a variety of breakout sessions that will help youth learn more about their faith.

In the beautiful setting of South Lake Tahoe, these five days away will leave you with faith-filled talks, activities, and no doubt that God is at work in your life. DYR is one of the largest collaborative events put together for the teens of our Diocese.
Have you ever felt the energy of thousands of teens in the same room, on fire for their faith? Just recently, it was announced that a Steubenville Conference would be hosted in our area! Join us for a weekend trip to Fremont, where you'll hear some amazing talks, celebrate Mass, play frisbee with nuns, and grow closer to your faith.
