Our parish plumbing contractor Degree HVAC is replacing and rerouting a water pipe for the school which has broken in the past several times. The last break/leak was april 2016 and it was about $6,000 to repair. Originally installed in the 1950s when the school and church were built, the water pipe runs under the porch of the hall. It is being relocated to under the eaves to make it more accessible for repairs. And it is being replaced since it’s so old. The pipe should be tied in by today. The staff and faculty of the International School of the Peninsula are back next week in preparation for the new school year which opens the week after that. The main water pipe was replaced from the meter by the sidewalk all the way to the school with new separate valves for the school and church. A new back-flow prevention valve will also be installed near the meter.
