The St. Thomas Aquinas team was one of several teams that attended the CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 8, at NealonPark in Menlo Park. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Church World Service for the alleviation of world hunger. Ourgroup combined to donate $1,150 for the cause.
The event was very well-run; credit goes to the co-chairs: Mary Beth Train and Jean Roth, and their army of supporters. There wereabout a hundred attendees. There were two musical groups on hand to provide entertainment. There was plenty of food: pizza, fruit, and a variety of snacks.
There were nine people in our group. We all participated in the two-mile walk through the charming homes of Menlo Park.
