Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist in distributing Holy Communion at weekend and daily Mass and some assist in bringing the Eucharist to the hospitalized and homebound as part of our
Pastoral Home Ministry. The gift of distributing the Eucharist is special, not only to our parishioners who receive it, but for those who have come forward to take on this ministry. Some of our Ministers say that there is something deeply spiritual in sharing the Body and Blood of Christ with others. If you would like to join this ministry, we will provide training and support for you.
We also provide periodic training sessions for all Extraordinary Ministers in order that you might deepen your understanding and commitment to this holy ministry. Please contact Will McDougal(also see Contact Us to the right) if you are interested in volunteering for this important ministry. The Handout for EMs (.pdf) below gives you some guidelines and information about becoming an Extraordinary Minister and fulfilling your duties as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
